Constitution and Bylaws
I. General
V. Conflict of Interest
- The name of the organization/agency/group shall be Crossroads Racing Ministries.
- Crossroads Racing Ministries shall exist as a non-profit organization.
- This organization shall exist for the following purposes:
- Vision Statement: Crossroads Racing is dedicated to fulfilling the call of God to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the racing community.
- Mission Statement: Crossroads Racing seeks to plant seeds in the hearts of men through the avenue of dirt late model racing. Our desire is to use this unique platform to reach thousands of fans with the Gospel through personal testimonies at weekly track venues nationwide.
- We strives to promote other raceway ministry groups by utilizing the dirt late model race cars at NASCAR venues to draw fans to ministry sites already in place. We will be working in conjunction with NFRM groups already established at each track.
- Vision Statement: Crossroads Racing is dedicated to fulfilling the call of God to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the racing community.
- The officers shall consist of a President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.
- Officers will serve indefinitely until such a time as they cannot perform the said duty.
- (a)The President shall preside at all meetings, appoint committee members, and perform other duties as associated with the office. (b)The Vice-Chair shall assume the duties of the Chair in case of the Chair’s absence. (c)The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for the minutes of the meetings and keep all approved minutes in a minute book. He/She shall also keep record of the organization’s budget and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Additional officers may be added as deemed necessary by the current officers by a 2/3 vote.
- The President may appoint standing and ad hoc committees as needed.
- Regular meetings shall be held annually.
- Special meetings may be held at any time when called for by the President.
- Agendas shall be provided at least 30 days in advance.
V. Conflict of Interest
- Any officer who has a financial, personal, or official interest in, or conflict (or appearance of a conflict) with any matter pending before the officers, of such nature that it prevents or may prevent that member from acting on the matter in an impartial manner, will offer to voluntarily excuse him/herself and will vacate his seat and refrain from discussion and voting on said item.
- The fiscal year of the board shall be from January – December.
- These by-laws may be amended by a two-third vote of officers present at any meeting, and provide a copy of the proposed amendment(s) are provided to each member at least one week prior to said meeting. Amendments to the constitution may be proposed by any member.
